What We Believe:

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Devin Hackler, Senior Pastor

Devin serves Calvary Baptist Church as the Senior Pastor. A native of Lafayette County, MO, he learned the gospel message by attending church with his Great Grandmother. While he mentally understood that Christ died for his sins, he did not exercise repentance and faith until he left home for active military service following the events of 9/11. At the age of 20, the Holy Spirit revealed his sinful condition and enabled him to trust in Jesus Christ. His profession of faith was accompanied by evidence of faith through a changed lifestyle and pursuits. This eventually led him to leave military service in pursuit of serving as a minister of the gospel.

Devin was called as the Senior Pastor of CBC in June of 2018, where he serves as the primary preacher and overseer of the teaching, leadership, membership, and day-to-day operations of the church. The gospel ministry equips the members of Calvary Baptist with sound theology, enabling them to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in an increasingly post-Christian culture. Outside of his ministry in the church, Devin is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological seminary. He lives with his wife, Jessica, and two lovely daughters, McKenna, and Riley. Devin and Jessica were high school sweet hearts; they enjoy raising their two girls together in a home that seeks to place Christ at the center of their daily life (which is hectic to say the least).

If you want to get to know Devin better, challenge him to a game of ping-pong, buy him a good cup of coffee, connect with him through the church office or say hi if you see him in the community.
